The B-29 and B-24 provided "look in" opportunities for the general public all week. Aero Club members were given opportunity to actually crawl through these historic aircraft.

Plenty of old fashioned barbecue food and music of WWII set the mood for this fun-filled event.
Lines of living history comprised of the men who won the war, some in B-29s and B-24s, shared their experiences with the many other guests. These ARE the "greatest generation!"

Three local aviation "heavy hitters." Hank Stockwell, proud owner of a brand new Cessna 182 G-1000 (glass cockpit); Loui Nalbone, owner of Dunkirk Aviation Sales and Service; and Dick Forrestel, former Aero Club president.
Dennis Porebski (left) who provided the music of WWII; Tom Kopera (center), and Greg Barnhart, the Aero Club's newest and YOUNGEST member, age 14 (beating out Erica Miller by two months). Note: Parents and grandparents - young people are the future of aviation. Have them join the Aero Club!

The B-29: Singularly responsible for bringing an immediate end to World War II. Over 1,600 of them were built by Boeing, Martin, and Bell Aircraft. This is the ONLY remaining flying B-29 that remains!

Akron pilot (and retired engineer) Art Warden and his bride . . .enjoying!
